Black rice is characterized by its black “skin”. It is classified as a wholegrain rice, needing cooking time at least of 40 minutes.
Like other Eastern-origin rice (such as Basmati), Nerone Black rice has very perfumed grains, whose taste can even be felt by smelling raw grains.
It passes through a quick cleaning process which preserves all the nutritional benefits. Its perfume is highlighted if served with fish dishes, but also with vegetable appetizers, or served alone dressed with little extra virgin olive oil.
